Volunteers Morning Tea 9am 10th December in the school hall.

Do you volunteer for the school?

Are you a coach, manager, reading helper, class parent, classroom helper, help at sports events, P and F member, help at masses, Spring Fair helper, help cover books?

Then we’d like to acknowledge your support and help at Morning Tea next week at 9am on the 10th December in the school hall. Please come along for a short time so we can thank and acknowledge your support of the school.

Last week we had the final Sports Club and P and F meetings for the year. Both organisations do an enormous amount of work for the school. Both Presidents gave their final report for the year. They shared the results of all that the Sports Club and the P and F do for our school. I am very grateful for the leadership of Chris Chard (Sports Club) and Chris Janes ( P and F) who guide each group with our families and their children at the forefront of everything they do.

Thank you to Mr DeVilliers and the staff for the swimming carnival last Friday. It was a great success and the feedback was that the venue was very suitable to our needs. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who assisted the running of the carnival especially those who stepped in at the last minute!

Kinder and Year One had a great time at the Water Safety Day back at school.

We are in full swing to prepare for our Christmas Carols. We have some very enthusiastic writers and choreographers and performers from each class who can’t wait to perform. Can children be brought to their classrooms at 5.30pm for a 6pm start. We hope to be finished by 7.45pm. Parents must collect their children from their teachers and have them marked off at the end of the concert.

There is no need to bring a drinking vessel as there will be plastic wine glasses available and these will be handed to people upon arrival.

We're so looking forward to seeing you all at the 'Jingle and Mingle' on the 7th! Thank you for the great response and to those that have booked tickets. 

Last Tuesday, Kindergarten had a special visit from the Taronga Zoo-Mobile team as part of their learning about Living Things.

The team brought some beautiful native Australian Animals for the children to see. The children saw a shingle-back lizard, a tree frog, an Australian diamond python & a possum!!

Special guest, Uncle Colin, told the children of stories from the Dreamtime using music, instruments and performance!

It was a very special experience for all!

Sacred Heart Netball 2020 - Years 2 - 6

An enormous heartfelt THANK YOU! to Andrea Agar and Cathy Davis who are stepping down from the role of netball coordinators after managing the netball club for many years, and to Michelle Champ who is also finishing up as netball registrar. Susie Rich and Suzanne O’Neil will be the new netball coordinators in 2020.

The netball season runs from late March to early September. Registrations will open in Term 1, 2020. Everything you need to know about playing netball for Sacred Heart will be available on the Sacred Heart Mosman Sports Club website: https://www.shmsportsclub.org.au 

Important change for 2020. All NetSetGo games (Years 2 & 3) will be played on Sunday morning between 9.00am - 12.00pm.

We encourage you to update your iPhone app update 5.0.8 Compass app in order for you to continue to get the latest features and improvements being released with each update,  the need to configure auto-updates in the iOS App and Google Play stores will ensure users have the most recent version of the Compass School Manager App. 

How do I check my device has the latest app version? Currently, the iPhone version is 5.0.9 (release Sept, 2019). Steps to check: Tap on App Store > Tap on Compass School Manager > Tap on Update (if update is not an option and it has Open, then the app is up-to-date). See here the iPhone troubleshooting guide
