Dear Parents and Carers
Thank you to the Year 5 parents led by Tėa Hatzis and Shalome Ruiter for organising such a successful Mother's Day Breakfast this morning. Many mothers, aunts and grandmothers attended our special morning and Mother's Day Mass. We wish all our mothers and those who care for our children a very special day on Sunday.
This year it is time for the school to enter into a new cycle of School Review and Improvement. The last review was held in 2015. From that review came the recommendations that informed our current School Strategic Plan. It is time again to gather data from parents, senior students, teachers and a Review Panel in August in order to refine our new Strategic plan. Next week you will be sent a link to a survey for parents asking for feedback regarding the schools current and future direction. students in Years 4,5 and 6 will be invited to take the survey as well. All surveys are anonymous and optional. If you do not want your child to take the survey there is an option to withdraw them. The questions will ask about the Catholic Mission of the School, the academic learning and student wellbeing. The link you will be sent will send you to the TELL THEM FROM ME survey site.
School Uniform
Next week children should all hopefully be in winter uniform. Cowan and Lewis are our new suppliers. Online ordering is available at their website and direct purchases can be made at their store at Turramurra.

Mother’s Day stall
Thank you to all the parents who supported the Cana Mother’s Day stall. We raised $3060 for the Cana Communities. This inspirational charity works with the marginalized in our society, making a difference to their lives by creating work, accommodation and friendship for them. It is such a worthwhile cause and we get wonderful goodies for our mums, grandmothers, aunts and carers in the process.

Well….It keeps getting better and better! Last week we welcomed a gorgeous couple in their second year of university. Two intelligent young people with the world in front of them rolled up their sleeves to pack bread, and deliver the next day. It’s so encouraging to see the next generation caring for others and giving up time in their busy schedules to make a difference. You can make a difference too. Contact Mary Lozina to get your name on the roster.

Woolworths Earn & Learn program
We are excited to be taking part in the Woolworths Earn & Learn program. We will redeem these points for awesome educational resources for our sister school - Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary School, Waterloo.
You can help our school make this happen by collecting Woolworths Earn & Learn Points. Just collect these points when you shop at Woolworths between Wednesday 1st May and Tuesday 25th June 2019. Simply pop them onto a Woolworths Earn & Learn Sticker Sheet and once it is completed, just bring it back to school or drop it into the Collection Box at your local Woolies.
The more we collect, the more we can redeem. There are thousands of products available through the Woolworths Earn & Learn program, and we would like to get lots of new gear for the students and teachers at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Products in the range include resources for mathematics, English, science, art & crafts, through to sports gear, library supplies and more.
We are grateful for your support and look forward to a successful program. If you have any questions, please ask at school.
