Mother’s Day stall

Thank you to all the parents who supported the Cana Mother’s Day stall.  We raised $3060 for the Cana Communities. This inspirational charity works with the marginalized in our society, making a difference to their lives by creating work, accommodation and friendship for them.  It is such a worthwhile cause and we get wonderful goodies for our mums, grandmothers, aunts and carers in the process.

Do you knit?

Can you help with Knitting Club?

SHM is  eager to teach our older students to knit and a few talented parents or grandparents would really make life easier.  We have one lovely grandmother on board but a few more are needed. Are you free on Thursdays from 1 to 2 pm?

Alter Service Training Update

Please let me know of your availability in terms of weekend Masses, especially Pope Francis candidates.  Mass times are:

Saturday night 6.15 pm

Sunday morning 11am

Sunday night 6pm

Well….It keeps getting better and better!  Last week we welcomed a gorgeous couple in their second year of university.  Two intelligent young people with the world in front of them rolled up their sleeves to pack bread, and deliver the next day.  It’s so encouraging to see the next generation caring for others and giving up time in their busy schedules to make a difference.  You can make a difference too. Walk & Talk is Back!

Join  us for a walk and a chat on Tuesdays in Term 2 at 8.45am on the school steps.  

Vinnies night patrol snacks 

Please donate snacks and place them in the basket which is in the school foyer.

Soup Kitchen Help needed

If anyone is interested in helping to make soup at Vinnies (or other little jobs) please email Mary Lozina.  It’s a short trip to Lewisham and the hours are 10am to 1pm.

The Parish Men - State of Origin

The Parish Men will be celebrating State of Origin in true “boy style.”

That’s right: Camaraderie, beer and snags on the Barbie.

When?   Wednesday 5th June

Where?  Parish Hall

Time?    7pm start.  Kickoff is at 8pm.
