Dear Parents and Carers

We begin the Advent season this Sunday the 28th November. The first week of Advent centres on Hope. This is such an apt focus for 2021 as we have so much to be hopeful for in the future. We hope our world will be healed in many ways after two years of setbacks. Advent is a time to reflect, take stock and to reconnect with Jesus and our church and to look forward with hope for the future..

Let's get the community back together again! Last week, with the P and F we planned a number of events for next year aimed at bringing our community back together again.

We are beginning next week with our Christmas get together at Warringah Bowls on the 4th of December. I hope to see many of you there. Especially our parents who are fairly new to the school and haven't had too many opportunities to mix at school. Yes, we’ll all wear name tags so we can connect with people we may have only seen on a Whatsapp group!

Our Character Strength Liturgies begin next week. Please see the dates in the RE section. These liturgies are held for each grade and each child is acknowledged for a character strength they have displayed over the year. Parents are welcome to attend the liturgy as Father Phil has kindly allowed us to use the church to hold the liturgies.

Congratulations to our Year 4 students who held their First Communion Retreat Day at school today. Thomas (the Parish Sacramental Co ordinator) our teachers and our priests are doing everything in their power to ensure the children are prepared and ready to make their First Communion this year. Thank you to all the families and staff who have ensured that the children are ready for this important sacrament. 

Reminders 

Mufti Day for Year Six- 26th November. Please bring a gold coin donation that will go towards the Year Six Graduation. Students should wear casual dress for the day, with a hat and closed in shoes.

Sports Club Meeting - 7pm 30th November
