Father Phil’s 52nd Anniversary of Priesthood

This week, I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the Sacred Heart Community, to wish Father Phil a very happy 52nd Anniversary of Priesthood.

Glorious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our Parish Priests.

Grant them the wisdom, understanding and strength they need

to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom.

Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel.

Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest.

Amen.

Snapshots of Religious Education in Kindergarten

This term, the Kinder students are learning all about God’s Great Family.

The task last week was to build an Altar, in response to the Bible story of ‘Abraham and Sarah.’ In the story, Abraham and Sarah went on a long journey. They built an Altar at each stop to give thanks to God, for guiding them and for being with them.

Father’s Day Video Celebration

As Mary Lozina has mentioned in Heartfelt, Sacred Heart Parish is putting together a video to present at the Father’s Day Mass next Sunday, 5th September. Theresa from the Parish is collecting submissions of photographs of ‘fathers’ and ‘father figures’ in our Sacred Heart Community.
