Heartfelt
Term 1, Week 10
The next part of the Easter Triduum is Good Friday. Why is Good Friday called “good?”
The first theory is That Good Friday led to the Resurrection of Jesus and his victory over death and sin, the very pinnacle of Easter celebrations.”
The second theory is Good Friday derives from God or “God’s Friday.”
The third theory is that “good” used to be another word for “holy.” This makes sense. Good Friday is a holy day; a day that makes us reflect on the love that Jesus Christ had for us all when he suffered in the worst way possible for the our salvation and the gift of eternal life.

Gift of bread thoughts……
“I love doing GOB because it gives me an opportunity to do something for the others whilst being a part of a bigger chain of wonderful people, that feed others by utilising the bread that would have otherwise been wasted.
I love our chit-chats whilst packing the bread and I enjoy the fact that I get to involve my kids, Sai and Gobind too. Thursday evenings are my children’s favourite!! They love the little treats that Mrs. Lozina offer them:) “
