Principal's Letter
Dear Parents and Carers
One of the hallmarks of a great school is when the parent community and the school work together to achieve their goals. Saturday night’s function was an example of how our families and school work together for the sake of the students in our care. We are stronger together and can continue to build a school community where all members feel nurtured, welcome and safe. One of our newer members of our community remarked at how positive it was to see teachers and parents who work together so well and show respect for each other.
Many thanks to our P and F committee who worked tirelessly to ensure the event was such a highlight. Thank you to Chris and Vanessa Janes, Steph Bailey, Paul Graham, Stewart Old, Henry Pilat, Clare Tynan, Siobhan Roberts Thompson, Linda Del Nin, Rachel Steer, Stefan Mielewski, Michelle Crone, MJ Whitson and Jacqui McCarthy for everything you did to ensure the night was such such a success. Im sorry i was unable to stay for the full evening. Many thanks to Mrs Kelly who was Acting Principal last week while I was away due to illness.
A number of staff have been at Professional Learning this week working on our Wellbeing goal for 2019. We hope to implement the Positive Behaviour for Learning Framework this year. Thank you to Mrs Edwards, Miss MacLarn, Mrs Thiermann, Mrs Miller and Mrs Kelly who will be helping implement PBL.
Next Wednesday is our Cross Country event. Children can run or walk the course. Please discuss this with your child what they should do on the day.
