YEAR 3 CELEBRATIONS EXPO
Year 3 students have been learning about 'Community & Remembrance' in term 2. As a culmination to the unit, the children presented their research projects in an expo on celebrations of cultural or religious significance. We hope that you enjoy seeing some of the children’s wonderful efforts and how enthusiastic they were to share their learning with other students.
On Tuesday we had our celebration expo. I woke up really excited for the expo. Everything was in my school bag ready to go. Then I heard my mum shower time for school. I started to get a bit nervous because people might not like my presentation. I forgot about that and swung my school bag on.
When I arrived at school we had to set up before sport. I carefully laid down my table cloth and put down some wooden creatures I had got from India. After a few minutes of setting up it was time for sport. We had free time and played snatch for a while until the bell rang. Ring ring!!
It was a great lunch and we were ready to get into the costume for the expo. I was doing holi. I had brought a very special dress I got from Sri Lanka. Finally it was time to start the expo. I sat down behind my table and turned on my iPad.
When the first class came, my stall was empty. With the next two classes I started showing them my presentation. I had a slide presentation a poster and an information report. I was so excited when a bunch of year two came and lined up for a rainbow painting on their hand.
When the last class had finished it was lunchtime and we all ate up. Munch crunch!!!
After a long play it was time to pack up the expo. The exciting day was just about to end . It was the best expo ever!!!.
