We are only 5 weeks into the term and our students are already starting the year with a bang in the sporting area! Like always, the Sacred Heart students are shooting goals and making a splash in all that they do!

Congratulations to Eloise Bailey, Lucie Gaffney, Alexandra Goulstone and Charlotte Mutton who will be representing Sacred Heart and the Eastern Suburbs region in the Eastern Region Swimming Championships on March 10 for the Junior Girls Freestyle Relay. An additional congratulations to Poppy O’Brien and Utsav Panta who will also be competing in individual events. Just keep swimming guys!

Good luck to Grace Prince, Elise Thomson, Mille Bloomfield, John Dynon and Francesco Safiotti who will be heading to Wollongong this weekend to commence their final trial to attain a spot on the Mackillop team. This journey started last year for them and they all have been working incredibly hard. Good luck team!

In Netball news, Lucy Rudd, Pippa Harrison and Heidi Higgins will be starting their journey for a spot on the Mackillop Netball Team in the next few weeks. These three year 6 students will be competing against some of the best players they have come up against. They are all looking forward to the challenge! 

Finally, Lieveke Elenbaas after trialling at the Sydney Archdiocese Hockey trial has been selected to represent the Sydney region in the upcoming Mackillop trial in Canberra! Lieveke has worked incredibly hard for this opportunity and is thrilled to continue this journey. Well done! We will make sure our cheers are heard from Canberra! 

It is wonderful to see all our students giving it their all and approaching every step of their sporting journey as a learning opportunity. This is a credit to our wonderful teachers, coaches and parent community.
