Dear Parents

Many thanks for the wonderful attendance at this week's Parent Information Evening. We had a very large number of very generous parents who attended the volunteer's induction beforehand. Thank you!

This week I have spoken to staff, students and parents about our focus on kindness and courage for the year ahead. The prayer below takes up the theme of courage.

Dear Lord,

Please give me the strength to face the day and to see the many blessings that it contains.

Give me the courage to walk on, no matter how long the path or how many turns the road holds.

Guide  my thoughts so that I walk in love and peace and with gratitude stamped on my heart.

There are things that we face today and, Lord, we need courage to face these trials in our lives.

We pray that when opposition comes our way, you will make us brave.

Put the words in our mouths to calm the storm that rises up against us.

Even though we may be fearful, we know you are our protector.

Amen.

In this newsletter there is an invitation to the Welcome Mass this Sunday at the parish. All families are invited to attend. We would love to see our new families there.

Year Representatives for each year group is now close to being finalised, thank you to all parents who have come forward.  We are still searching for a few more parents to assist in years 2, 3 and 4. Please email Stephanie Bailey at curransmr@yahoo.com.au if you can become a class parent.
