Christian Camus became the 3rd fastest boy in Australia taking out the bronze medal in the 800m at the Australian All Schools National Championships which was held in Darwin NT. At the Championships he took 5 seconds off his PB, running 2:13 for the 800m.

It was such a great achievement particularly considering the very competitive field and his very limited training in the 3 weeks leading to the event due to illness - he was actually going to withdraw from the Championships just days before the event! Nevertheless, he never gave up and fought very hard to make it onto the podium.

He's so happy and still in a bit of disbelief of his achievement. He'd like to thank the school community and particularly the teachers and students for their support.
