PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Parents,
A busy week for our Year 6 students with them taking the next step in their sacramental journey with the Sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation is the sacrament by which Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, the Holy Spirit gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situation. Congratulations to all!

Thank you, Bishop Brady, Father Phil, Father Matthew, Deacon Justin. Also a huge thanks to Thomas Dabbah (Sacramental Coordinator), Kristen Jackson (Religious Education Coordinator) and our Year 6 classroom teachers for their preparation and care of our children.

Sacred Heart’s Art Trail
We are excited to invite you to Sacred Heart's Art Trail on Thursday 18 September from 4:30pm. Please note that there will be no food provided at this event. The format is also different to the Art Exhibition we have had in previous years but the quality of art on display will be phenomenal. I take this opportunity to thank Ms Morris for her passion and dedication to our Visual Arts program at Sacred Heart.

Our school’s Angel Meals program: Can we brighten someone’s day?
Our SHM Angels cooking program recommenced in Term 2. Thank you to everyone who already has (and will be!) cooking this term to support our community through generously providing meals. The program is always looking for volunteers to cook meals, usually as part of a roster once per term. Would you like to be involved? Please contact Caitlin Hill, who coordinates the Angel Meals program on behalf of the P&F: shmosman.angels@gmail.com

Likewise, do you know someone who might appreciate a hug (in the form of a small delivery of meals)? You may know someone within the school or parish community who has recently had a baby, may be experiencing poor health, an injury or navigating a death in the family. We all experience hardship at different times and in different ways – and our Angels, via Caitlin or myself, would love to thoughtfully offer a gesture of love and support from our community if we can. Please keep the SHM Angels in mind through the school year, and contact Caitlin at any time.

Communication
We appreciate the partnership we have with each and every one of you. I just want to remind you that when issues arise, we encourage you to communicate directly with your child's teacher or our school leadership team. Our staff is best equipped to address concerns effectively, as they have firsthand knowledge of the classroom environment and school policies. They are committed to working collaboratively with all parents to find the best solutions for your child.

Our teachers are highly qualified professionals with extensive training and experience in education. They are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching learning environment for every student. They work closely with your children on a daily basis, developing a deep understanding of their individual needs, strengths, and challenges.

Relying on second-hand information or reports from other parents or children can sometimes lead to misunderstandings or misinterpretations of situations. We believe that direct communication with our teachers ensures that you receive the most accurate and complete information.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership in your child's education. We are committed to working together to ensure every student's success.

Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Survey
We invite staff, students and parents to complete online the 'Tell Them from Me (TTFM)’ Partners in Learning Survey to provide feedback on their experience of our school. The surveys are an important part of our whole school evaluation and planning process.

The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at Sacred Heart.

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.  Parents can access the survey using the URL below. The survey window is open for the next few weeks.
