Sacrament of Confirmation

Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday
Yesterday we acknowledged Shrove Tuesday at Sacred Heart, with students and staff receiving a pikelet to enjoy. This gesture was a reminder that we are preparing to enter into the Church season of Lent. Today, as we begin our Lenten journey on Ash Wednesday, we focus our attention towards a time of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

Today, the eldest child in each family will bring home a Project Compassion family box in support of Caritas Australia. Please set this box up in a special place at home. During this Lenten season, may we show our support to Caritas Australia by donating generously towards Project Compassion

A visit to Kindergarten

Kindergarten students are learning about belonging a Catholic community and what it means to belong to our beautiful Sacred Heart community. I had the privilege of visiting the Kinder classrooms last week, to talk with the children about those in our community who support us in growing closer to God. It was lovely to visit Kindergarten, thank you Kinder teachers and students for this special invitation!!

Please see the schedule below for upcoming Family Masses. This Sunday, all Sacred Heart families are welcome to attend the Parish Family Mass at 9am, followed by morning tea. An extra special welcome to families in MacKillop House (green). If you are attending Mass this Sunday and your child can assist, or you are able to bring a small plate for the morning tea, please fill in this google form.
