PreSchool Engagement Visits
Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting several local preschools and meeting the children who will be starting their big school adventure in 2026. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and to help them feel more at ease with the transition to school. These visits are so valuable in building familiarity and excitement for the journey ahead. We can’t wait to welcome them—and their families—into our school community! If you know of any families considering joining us, be sure to invite them to our School Open Day on Tuesday, 4 March.
My Mind Check
This year, Sacred Heart is participating in the Sydney Catholic Schools pilot program for My Mind Check—an evidence-based digital mental health and wellbeing check-in designed for Australian schools. As part of this program, students will take part in 30-minute check-in sessions at school, providing a snapshot of their wellbeing at that moment in time. These insights will help teachers better understand both individual student wellbeing and the overall wellbeing of our school community. This term, Year 2 and Year 4 will be the first grades to participate. Parents of students in these grades will receive more information very soon—so keep an eye out for this!
