Dear Parents and Carers,

Last Tuesday 30 July we recognised and celebrated International Day of Friendship.  A day that is held annually and is a wonderful occasion to highlight the importance of friendship and human connections in our lives. Established by the United Nations in 2011, this day encourages communities to foster mutual understanding, respect, and reconciliation. For teachers and parents, it offers an opportunity to teach children about the value of friendship, kindness, and empathy through fun and meaningful activities. At Sacred Heart the children participated in friendship activities within the classroom and many chose to make friendship bracelets on the day during Lunch Club.
