Dear Parents, Students and Staff,

This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost which reminds us of when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples in the form of wind and tongues of fire. Filled with the Holy Spirit the disciples shared the good news, were baptised and celebrated the Eucharist. Like the disciples, we have been blessed with the grace of the Holy Spirit which strengthens and enlightens our faith (John 14:15-17). Pentecost reminds us that it is now our turn to do amazing things because we, too, have been filled with the Holy Spirit. Our Year 6 students will also be filled with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation next week. We congratulate you all and wish you all the very best for the next step in your sacramental journey. 

We have many wonderful events happening at Sacred Heart which is what makes our community so amazing. At times, we have unavoidable clashes that may mean a few important things are happening around the same time. This is unfortunate but with a calendar so demanding, it is our reality. This week I will be on camp with our Year 5 children and many of our staff, we won’t return until late Friday night. We then have our school Disco from 3pm on Saturday and our Kindy and Year 6 Family Mass on Sunday.  We put much thought into our calendar but it is inevitable that, now and again, we will have a weekend like the one ahead so I ask that you only do what you can do. Many thanks for your understanding.

Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Survey

We now invite staff, students and parents to complete online ‘The Tell Them from Me (TTFM)’ Partners in Learning Survey to provide feedback on their experience of our school.  The surveys are an important part of our whole school evaluation and planning process.  

The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Mosman.

The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.  Please refer to the compass message posted earlier this week or use the following URL Link:

The survey window will open today and close on Friday 9 June, 2023.

The purpose of this annual survey is to gather information to enhance what we are already doing at our school.  This survey is separate to the current ‘Consultation Process’ happening at Sacred Heart and Blessed Sacrament.

We ask that you try to separate the consultation process and complete the TTFM survey solely on current Sacred Heart teaching, learning and wellbeing experiences.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Liam Jowitt for his 8 years of service to Sacred Heart as the Mosman Coordinator of Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (before and after school care and vacation care). Liam has decided to take up an amazing opportunity in Japan to teach English and immerse himself in Japanese culture. It was a very difficult decision for him to make as he loves working in his current role but it is definitely a very exciting opportunity for him. We wish him every success and much happiness for the future.
