Dear Parents and Carers,
This week on the 26th July we celebrated Joachim and Anne’s Feast Day. Joachim and Anne are traditionally known as Jesus’ “grandparents”. Normally as a school we hold a mass for our grandparents each year which is well attended by our students' grandparents. I know many of you are in constant touch with your parents and are supporting them through the Covid crisis. I'm sure they are grateful for the emotional and physical support (if they live close) that you give them. I look forward in hope that we may be able to hold our Grandparents Mass and morning tea next year as I know our students love to see their grandparents at school.
We have spent a lot of time cancelling or postponing events on the school calendar. It has been a pleasure this week to start adding some new and modified events to the calendar.

Last week we said farewell to Mrs Nicol, one of our Year Six teachers. Mrs Nicol has accepted a position on the restructured Sydney Catholic Schools leadership team.
As well as being the Year Six teacher at our school Mrs Nicol's previous experience has been as a Principal in Catholic, Independent and International Schools. She also held a leadership position at the Broken Bay Catholic Schools Office. We have been lucky for the last two years to benefit from her experience and we wish her well in her new position.
There is only one month to go in the Premier’s Reading Challenge. Please encourage your child to participate and read as much as possible. The Premier’s Reading Challenge promotes good quality literature for children and is an excellent guide for those wishing to extend and support their child's reading.
Covid Update
A reminder to parents that when picking your child up that you must be physically distant from others and leave the school grounds as soon as you pick up your child.
Kind regards,
Julie Caldwell
