Dear Parents and Carers
What fun we had last week in Family Week. Thanks to all those families that participated in our family events. Our movie afternoon was a great get together for children and parents. Thank you to our choir and Miss Conroy and Miss Jackson who led the opening song of the movie and set the scene for such a wonderful afternoon. Thank you to our P and F for hosting the movie.
Tell them from Me Survey 2022
Each year Sydney Catholic Schools asks that parents in our schools participate in a survey that looks at school life and practices. Some of the recent positive changes in our practice have resulted from parent participation in our annual survey. Please take the time to fill the survey out and let us know what you like about the school and what you think might need to change. Parents can access the survey at https://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/login.htm
Staff, parents and Years 4-6 are all asked to fill out the survey annually.
Enrolment 2023 interviews - thank you to those families who have referred friends and work colleagues to the school. We are currently conducting interviews for 2023 for Kindergarten and places in other grades. If you know of any families who intend to apply please encourage them to do so as soon as possible.

Parent Teacher Interviews coming up next week.
Our mid year parent teacher interviews will be held next week. We have made changes to our academic feedback schedule this year in order to have parents, teachers and students actively engage with the children’s learning.
Interviews next week will focus on three things
- Feedback about the Semester One goals that were set for the students
- Goal setting for Semester Two
- Feedback about your child’s Semester 1 learning and behaviour goals
This should mean that when reports are sent out at the end of the term there should be no surprises. Please ensure you book a meeting for your child: they will be offered either on Zoom or in person. Further meetings will not be offered after the reports have been sent out.
As part of the process of goal setting and parent feedback can you please let your child’s teacher know at what level you engaged with your child’s goals. We are hoping to learn from this process as to what makes the most difference in a child’s learning.
A reminder that dogs should not enter the school grounds and should not be tied or left near the entrance to the school grounds. Many young children are unfamiliar with dogs and they may be scared of dogs and cause the dogs to react out of character.
We have a number of children and teachers down with the flu. Please remember to keep unwell children at home. There may be some disruption to classes over the next few weeks as we manage Covid, the flu and staff shortages.
Have a wonderful week.
Regards
Julie Caldwell
