School ATHLETICS CARNIVAL postponed until Term 3.
School as usual - No AMADEUS
Dear Parents and Carers
Last Week
We held our first Open day in a few years and it was a delight to welcome prospective parents back through the doors. Over 100 people attended and they were particularly impressed by our Year Six leaders who took them on tours throughout the school. A new online enrolment form has been developed by Sydney Catholic Schools and will be used for all new enrolments. For those families enrolling siblings for 2023 they should apply through our school website - shmosman.catholic.edu.au - "Enrol Now".
This week
Sports Club
Thank you to the Sports Club members who met last night. The committee is led by Tim O’Connor and has members who look after our various codes. Our volunteer members do so much unselfish work for our students that a simple thank you seems inadequate. I would however like to acknowledge all members of the sports club as well as the coaches, managers and supporters who make this club such an integral part of our school. Many thanks to Geoff Mutton who will transition into the role of Treasurer of the Sports Club over the next few meetings.
Car Line
Car line seems to be less frenetic and a little quieter this week. Thank you to the growing number of parents who are using the Bardwell walking gate/Kameruka to pick up their children. This seems to be making a difference.
Weddings
This week we farewelled Miss Natsha Roache (Year 1) for a short time. Natasha will be married next Sunday. We wish Natasha and Luke every happiness in the future. We also celebrated the upcoming nuptials on Miss Linda Conroy who will be married in the coming holidays.
Harmony Week
This Friday the children are invited to wear an orange accessory and bring a gold coin for Caritas. Harmony Week celebrates unity and cultural diversity. We will celebrate at Sacred Heart by focusing on harmony in the playground.

A Prayer for Harmony Week
Heavenly Father,
You created all people in Your image.
We thank You for the variety of cultures in Australia
and in our community.
We pray that You give Your loving protection to all,
and bless us with peace and harmony.
May we open our eyes and be ever mindful
to Jesus’ Great Commandment,
” Love one another, just as I have loved You.”
